The Beats Music streaming app already offers easy Facebook integration. However, unlike Spotify, its social arm is more of an afterthought. An amplification of the app will engage Tinder-like functionality, where users who are listening to seemingly-opposite artists are suggested to “meet and mash” with each other. If they do choose to swap streams and say a quick hello, they’ll be rewarded with a local download of a song by their favorite artist.
DJs like Steve Aoki would engage in the campaign on Twitter, using the hashtag #onepairfitsall, in which they’d compete to have their mashup featured on Beats Music.
